The tattoo policy for NDA, CDS and AFCAT is strict, but it is not a total ban. Small tattoos in certain places are accepted. Tattoos in the wrong place or of the wrong kind can end your selection. For NDA, permanent tattoos are accepted only on the inner face of the forearm (from inside the elbow to the wrist) and the back of the hand. Tribal candidates get a special case-by-case rule.
